When it loads, Netscape checks the CLASSPATH variable for the location of the moz3_0.zip or whatever class file it uses; since you installed the JDK, you would have this set to the standard Sun JDK class file, which Netscape doesn't like to use. Try either clearing the CLASSPATH variable or setting it to the Mozilla class file and re-logging in.
