Hey FreeBSD gurus! I have an IBM Thinkpad 380D and I am trying to get an IBM Ethernet II pcmcia card to work. Here is a list of things that I have done: 1. I have not changed anything in the /etc/defaults/pccard.conf with regards to the card as I believe that the card is correctly represented.(this may be the problem) In a pccardc dumpcis I saw that IRQs are 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 nd that the Config index = 0x1(default) 2. I did a grep irq /var/run/dmesg.boot and found that irq 5 and 15 were open, so I only used those irqs in the /etc/defaults/pccard.conf. 3. When I boot I get the following messages: pccard[47]: Card "IBM Corp." ("Ethernet") [09334214] [PC-NIC ENCC 990010759-0014] matched "IBM Corp." ("Ethernet") [(null)] [(null)] Feb 20 00:07:29 pccard[47]: Ether = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx(changed due to paranoia) Feb 20 00:07:29 pccardd[47]: drive allocation failed for IBM Corp.(Ethernet): Device not configured. Feb 20 00:07:29 pccard[47] pccardd started 4. And just for the unbridled joy of it I typed pccardd. (just to invoke the daemon manually) This is what I saw next: pccard[190]: Card "IBM Corp." ("Ethernet") [09334214] [PC-NIC ENCC 990010759-0014] matched "IBM Corp." ("Ethernet") [(null)] [(null)] pccard[190]: Card "IBM Corp."
