            Bug ID: 215284
           Summary: irc/quassel
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: woodsb02@freebsd.org
          Reporter: jt@ixsystems.com
          Assignee: woodsb02@freebsd.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(woodsb02@freebsd.org)

With 0.12.4_1 there were three binaries, quassel-core, quassel-client, and
quassel. With 0.12.4_2 there are only the quassel-core and quassel-client
binaries.

The quassel binary allowed individuals to use quassel as a typical stand al=
one
client on its own. This allowed me to use quassel to connect to my weechat
instance running on my server. I prefer to use quassel on the desktop since
it's qt5 based and doesn't have a long list of dependencies.

Is there a way to use 0.12.4_2 as a standalone IRC client without having a
quassel core to connect to? I'm not sure how many people this affects, but=
 the
loss of functionality (for me at least) is a show stopper completely, since=
 I
don't run a quassel-core.
