When FreeBSD 2.2.6 loaded the drivers for thecard it would give me the message to 'Turn off auto-detect'. The way I got around it was to create a dos bootable disk. Download the latest 3Com Config utilities for the card. Start up with the boot disk, run the config util. and set whichever port I wanted to use and rebooted FreeBSD. I know it's prtty long winded, but it's a pretty stable alternative. David Peterson To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-net" in the body of the message
