Hi Gheoghe and others,

Thanks for the information. I had noticed it before too and I also had a
word with gheorgie about not being able o install freebsd 7,0 via the
bootonly disk for the sparc64.

I have been also not able to get the mouse working on my U10. Now what
gheorgie has posted seems really promising and I am very eager to have it
working on my U10 to do away with solaris.

I will definitely give it a try perhaps this coming friday and you could
expect my post here sometime later next week on how did it went.

With best regards,

Aijaz Baig.

Hi,

I see that sysinstall in FreeBSD sparc64 has in Configuration
menu no Console section. In this way I can not configure the moused via
sysinstall. Anyway it seems that it works and the corresponding commands
for Ultra 5 and maybe also Ultra 10 to setup and enable are:

moused -t mousesystems -p /dev/ttyu3
vidcontrol -m on

or make the changes permanent via /etc/rc.conf:

moused_enable="YES"
moused_type="mousesystems"
moused_port="/dev/ttyu3"

and it works also togheter with the Xorg.conf I have posted on this list!

Nice work! Thank you guys!

Best regards,

Gheorghe Ardelean.
