FreeBSD its.joss.com 3.3-RELEASE FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE #2: Sun Oct 31 07:22:33 EST 1999 klh@its.joss.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/TS545 i386
>Description:
The SSH port directory provided on the 3.3 CD-ROM doesn't work.
This is what happens:

ports/security/ssh# make install USA_RESIDENT=YES
===>  Extracting for ssh-1.2.27
>How-To-Repeat:
During full 3.3 install from CD-ROM, include ports collection.

Obtain copies of the needed sources (rsaref20.1996.tar.Z,
ssh-1.2.27.tar.gz, patch-ssh-1.2.27-bsd.tty.chown), put in
/usr/ports/distfiles.

# cd /usr/ports/security/rsaref
# make install
# cd /usr/ports/security/ssh
# make install USA_RESIDENT=YES

>Fix:
Obtain the current ssh.tar from the ports collection on FreeBSD.org
and use that instead. It appears to differ from that on the CD-ROM
in having FEWER patch files, so I'm not sure whether this should
be considered a true fix. I was unable to find anything about this
in the Errata or the bug report database.
