when i run portupgrade -arRcCv and it gets done installing/ or deinstalling the port to be upgraded i get this [Updating the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:432: warning: Object#type is deprecated; use Object#class origins - not a string (NilClass); rebuild needed] [Rebuilding the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... - 387 packages found (-0 +387) ........................................................................... ........................................................................... ........................................................................... ........................................................................... ........................................................................... ............ done] now why is it rebuilding the pkgdb every time like that ?? and what is that warning about?? i never saw this before in 4.9 uname -a FreeBSD vampextream.com 5.3-RELEASE-p2 FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE-p2 #3: Wed Dec 8 20:33:13 PST 2004 root@vampextream.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/VAMPEXTREAM i386 and this was a 4.9 distro till i recenly upgraded to 5.3 .. buildworld , etc , etc, . if that mekes any diffrence if theres any other info that i need to suply just let me know. and thanks inadvance for any help on this quistion / issue ______________________________________________________________________________ If you play the WindowsXP CD backwards, you get a Satanic message .
