Note that there's a good chance that all that's really dead is the 
keyboard fuse.  On some motherboards, this is a soft fuse that will reset 
after a few minutes; on many others it's a surface-mount or through-hole 
component.

Identifying it is easy if you know what you're looking for, which 
probably doesn't help you, since if you knew about it, you wouldn't be 
asking here.  8(
