The diff to current ports tree: http://www.ijs.si/~lesi/xorg/XO-682_2.diff The announcement/press release: http://www.x.org/XOrg_Press_Releases/X11R6.8.2.html The relase notes: http://www.x.org/X11R6.8.2/doc/RELNOTES.html The warning: With this release the distfiles are no longer split into smaller pieces as of yet (split distfiles may or may not be available later). There's a possibility of creative use of tar flags to only extract what is needed for individual ports, but that has not been done (yet). Consequently this increases space you need to build xorg from metaport. You need more than about 5GB free space to build metaport from scratch. Fortunately you can use portupgrade, which will do a 'make clean' before and after each build if you upgrade already installed ports. Another option is to build each port separately of course. Also ftp.x.org which is the first in the list of mirrors might seem a bit slow, so you might set MASTER_SITE_XORG to something else in make.conf instead. Dejan
