	The nearest I can figure is that netscape does a uname call
and matches it to the operating system...And the default is
/usr/spool/mail. Because bsd/os has mail in the same location as
FreeBSD. Personally I think netscape should make the mailbox 
location configurable in the "preferences" section. I guess that'd
be too simple.
