Well I have the pseudo-device bpf #Berkeley packet filter in my KERNEL config file. But when I try to access /dev/bpf0 and ed0 with tcpdump or whatever, I get the "Device not configured" error. I am root when I do this. The permissions for bpf0 are: crw------- 1 root wheel 23, 0 Aug 18 2000 /dev/bpf0 I tried adding permissions to this file, but I still got the same error, so I returned it to its original permission set. I've read the bpf manpage, but it doesn't seem to say what my problem is. I'm using 4.0-RELEASE with a custom kernel. (It's been working great, so I haven't upgraded.) Can anyone point me in the right direction? -- David S.
