I see no reference to FreeBSD in 
http://gluster.org/docs/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions, and the 
following statement:

"Currently Gluster has been tested on

     * Debian
     * Slackware
     * Redhat Enterprise (and clones such as ScientificLinux and CentOS)
     * Fedora Core (1-4)
     * Ubuntu
     * Gentoo
     * SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server) 10
     * OpenSUSE
"

and only references to being portable across Linux distributions.  But 
maybe your search skills are more awesome than mine :D
