I didn't checked that. What I looked for was if I got any timeouts when I used FTP to transmit a large file (around 80 MB). With the VIA-version of the driver I got timeouts and the board hanged. I could get it up again after I had aborted the FTP transfer and performed several ifconfig fet0 up/down's. With my earlier patches I can transmit the 80MB file without problem. I know for sure that the vr-driver detects it as 100 MB/full duplex because I have tried to play around with that setting earlier. /thn sharity wrote: > > hmm... > > Have you tried to set the mediaopt to full-duplex? > This driver seems unable to detect the media type correctly. > > # dmesg | grep fet > fet0: port > 0xe800-0xe87f mem 0xed026000-0xed02607f irq 15 at device 12.0 on pci0 > fet0: Ethernet address: 00:30:43:00:0d:97 > fet0: if_fet.c: v2.04 05/17/2001 > miibus1: on fet0 > Analyzing Media type of fet0, this will take several seconds........OK > fet0: Linespeed=100Mb,Halfduplex > ^^^^^^^^^^ > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Thomas Nystrom" > To: ; > Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 8:46 PM > Subject: Re: kern/39423: vr0 watchdog timeout > > > I have tried that driver but it didn't solved my problem that I reported > > earlier (in kern/37929: hang of vr interface running at 100 MBit/full > > duples).
