I'm in it now, the only real bugs I've found so far are that the screen-locker won't accept valid passwords, and the kicker panel fails to restart after changes are made to it and it is killed and restarted by KDE [such as adding new apps [netscape] to the kicker panel]. I'm sure I'll find some more too... One plus: for the first time for me at least, noatun actually works, and won't dump core. thowe@bhengineers.com wrote: > After trying to build KDE 2.2 all day, it finally dies with the following... > ---------------------------------------------------------- > gmake[3]: Entering directory > `/usr/ports/x11/kdebase2/work/kdebase-2.2/kaddressbook' > c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11R6/include/qt2 > -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include -D_GETOPT_H -D_PTH_H_ -D_PTH_PTHREAD_H_ > -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11R6/include/qt2 -O2 -O > -pipe -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_COMPAT > -DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -c kaddressbook.cpp > In file included from kaddressbook.cpp:25: > contactentrylist.h:13: addressbook.h: No such file or directory > In file included from kaddressbook.cpp:25: > contactentrylist.h:42: syntax error before `::' > contactentrylist.h:43: syntax error before `::' > gmake[3]: *** [kaddressbook.o] Error 1 > gmake[3]: Leaving directory > `/usr/ports/x11/kdebase2/work/kdebase-2.2/kaddressbook' > gmake[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > gmake[2]: Leaving directory > `/usr/ports/x11/kdebase2/work/kdebase-2.2/kaddressbook' > gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/x11/kdebase2/work/kdebase-2.2' > gmake: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 > *** Error code 2 > > Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kdebase2. > *** Error code 1 > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > I tried ports tree as of Thursday, when that failed, I grabbed latest > (Saturday). > Both failed with same message.
