I figured out, that the APIC is responsible for that. If APIC is turned off, then the box boots fine (although it cannot see more that 1 CPU). The hang is nasty: event the powercycle button didn't work, I had to unplug the power led and plug it again. Any ideas ? Please advise. sergey
