https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D267248 Bug ID: 267248 Summary: x11/cinnamon-screensaver: Updating to 5.4.4 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Reporter: lab+bsd@thinkum.space Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 237505 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D237505&action= =3Dedit x11/cinnamon-screensaver update to 5.4.4 cinnamon-screensaver is now available in release 5.4.4 The attached diff updates the port for this newer release. Additional chang= es - A port option is added for enabling screen locking.=20 As I've not been able to get this screen locking feature to ever unlock, and I've seen similar reports from other cinnamon users, I've not enabled this feature by default.=20 Perhaps it should be a normal build feature, without an option, for this so= urce feature to be disabled. It might seem contrary to an interest of user priva= cy, to disable this feature in all port builds.=20 In a guess albeit, perhaps this feature might be particularly oriented to L= inux platforms? Maybe someone has ever found a way to configure the desktop environment such that the screen can be unlocked, on FreeBSD platforms. This patch would correspond to a patch to be published shortly, for x11/cinnamon and other ports from linuxmint in updating to a 5.4 series rel= ease --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
