hi,                                                                                         
  
i know about the oracle-client that is needed to activate the oci8-functions.
but what i dont know: is this possible on a freebsd-box ?                   
(i've read a few strange messages about this in the archive).           

i only need to get a oracle-client running to connect to a oracle-server (solaris).
i may need to do this with php 3.0.18.
  
are there any howto's out there?
