https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=194318 Bug ID: 194318 Summary: xmbc and samba can't be installed together Product: Ports Tree Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: Needs Triage Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: theraven@FreeBSD.org The default option for XMBC triggers a samba-nmlookup dependency, which causes a conflict with samba. This means that a media server can't also be a file server. This could be fixed by either changing the default install location of samba-nmclient so that it doesn't conflict with samba, removing the parts of the samba package that are in samba-nmclient so that the two can coexist, or removing the default samba-nmclient dependency for xmbc. Or, eventually, by using the provides / requires mechanism to allow xbmc to optionally depend on samba. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
