Unfortunately I've just subscribed to this list, so I cannot reply to the original question. Just want to let you know that I'm running a ML370G2 with Proliant Tools 7.22 on FreeBSD 7.2 (Upgraded from 6.0 --> 6.2 --> 7.2 through time) I installed compat5x from ports, fixed the INSTALL file and installed as FreeBSD 5. thanks to : osx-addict I patched the hpasmcli with http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-proliant/attachments/20090218/00535c76/hpasmcli.obj and things work as a charm. I have a DL320 which I'm running FreeBSD 8 on, with this I can acknowledge the same kind of problems some of you guys have with 7.x. I can only install as FreeBSD 4 but the client doesn't work. The above mentioned patchfile is unfortunately only for the FreeBSD 5 hpasmcli, not for the FreeBSD 4. Does any of you have a patch file for the FreeBSD 4 version ? And have any of you contacted jcagle or the 2 guys from HP which is mentioned at the proliant page ? (people.freebsd.org/~jcagle) Best regards Carsten
