I have two disks on the pws. 1. dkc0 2. dkc100 I have Tru64 5.1a installed on the 1st HD (dkc0). I can boot from this device from the SRM and Tru64 loads fine. I have installed FreeBSD on disk 2 (dkc100). All *seemed* to install fine. However, when I do a: >>> boot dkc100 from the SRM I get this error: ........ Loading /boot/loader Can't open file /boot/loader halted CPU 0 >>> When I come to think of it, in the install process I was never asked about a boot loader. Is this normal ? Does something manually have to be done to get it to boot ? Is the install process meant to load a boot loader ? Need the help boys ;-( Thanks - Alex To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
