Thanks, but it tried to run texconfig and failed (looked like some
empty menu, at least I think it's texconfig).  These are the lines
that are left on my screen:

bin-extra/texconfig: cannot open /tmp/texconf19838/logfile: no such file

Final touch:

1. Run /usr/local/bin/texconfig
   to adjust for your local environment.
2. Chmod 1777 /usr/local/share/texmf/fonts/{pk,tfm}
   and all subdirectories if you did not configure
   font generation to use a temporary directory.
3. For further information have a look at
   /usr/local/share/texmf/doc/tetex/.
