I have tried the 2.10 version of the Quakeworld server for BSDi (running
on FreeBSD 2.2.2) which mostly ran OK but behaved strangely with the
Thunderwalker CTF 4.0 patch. It seemed to used over 50% of the CPU time
for a single client! Normally I get about 10% CPU usage per client (and
this is on an AMD 486DX4 100Mhz). So I changed to the Linux qwsv v2.10
(still running on FreeBSD and have had no problems whatsoever. The Linux
client works fine as well (as long as X is running 8 bpp), amazing
really.

You can get all these from <ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com>, can't remember
the directory.
