https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D255132 Bug ID: 255132 Summary: ACPI: different function key maps to same devd notify code Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: driesm.michiels@gmail.com Hi! On my laptop, a Lenovo T490 I have observed that two function keys map to an identical notify code, this makes it hard to separately map to actions with= a notify match script. The keys in question are located on F5 (brightness up), and F12 (favorites). [/usr/local/sbin]$ cat /var/run/devd.pipe **press brightness down (F5)** !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DVideo type=3Dbrightness notify=3D14 !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DIBM type=3D\_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.EC__.HKEY notify=3D0x= 11 **press favorites key (F12)** !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DIBM type=3D\_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.EC__.HKEY notify=3D0x= 11 **press brighntess down (F5)** !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DVideo type=3Dbrightness notify=3D13 !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DIBM type=3D\_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.EC__.HKEY notify=3D0x= 11 **press favorites key (F12)** !system=3DACPI subsystem=3DIBM type=3D\_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.EC__.HKEY notify=3D0x= 11 is there any way that I can distinguish on the key presses to map to differ= ent actions? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
