For more info, check out: I second this. I bought two K7M motherboards and had terrible times with them when they had Adaptec 29160s installed. They would freeze solid regardless of what OS they ran. I ended up swapping them out with Socket A motherboards (also Asus). The new Asus boards work fine with SCSI cards, and the old ones work fine so long as they have ATA disks in them.
