I still get those errors, so if that ARRE and AWRE set to 1 means that the sectors should be automatically spared out, it's either not happening or maybe there isn't enough bad sector space? Or maybe I formatted it wrong. I did a disklabel, and then a newfs, before mounting it. Is there any kind of surface scan thing, like I've seen from the software provided by other controllers? ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@glue.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 213 Lakeside Drive Apt T-1 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 and picnic (FreeBSD-current) (301) 220-2114 | and jaunt (NetBSD). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
