As a workaround you can use Marcel Kaiser's linux-browser-installer [1] to download and install Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi and Edge. The installer first installs Ubuntu in a chroot and then the browser of your choice. [1] https://github.com/mrclksr/linux-browser-installer
