Playing sounds and recording 8 bit sounds works ok. If I try to record 16 bit sounds, I just get noise. Does anybody know this behaviour? My kernel config is (FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE): device pcm device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 10 drq 1 flags 0x15 cat /dev/sndstat says: FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Sep 9 2000 00:45:09 Installed devices: pcm0: at io 0x220 irq 10 drq 1:5 (1p/1r channels duplex) I am using the same configuration values (IO, IRQ, DMA) that Windoze uses.
