So here's the thing about the FAQ.

tl:dr; it needs to die.

Longer explanation:

The fate of the "information in the FAQ" has been debated to death for year=
s.=20
My recommendation is to figure out ways to update documentation information=
 in
the mainline docs and/or the wiki first, and then leave the FAQ garbage-pile
for later.
