I have heard that before in other context, but then someone went ahead and sent patches to fix AOO on FreeBSD PowerPC :). While there are people willing to fix it we should continue to support it. Python 2.7 will be deprecated in one year and many things can happen until then: there is luckily sufficient competition in the office market that AOO may disappear. On a wider context, while the development team upstream is really thin, and linux distributions are not carrying AOO any more, there is still a huge amount of Windows users. It is not really a thing of users not knowing about LibreOffice, but rather that AOO does sufficient for most people and that existing users are adverse to UI changes. Pedro.
