I regularly use mount options like -L el_GR.ISO8859-7 to browse FAT filesystems frm non-UTF8 sessions. Can you try mounting with something like this? # mount -o -L=el_GR.ISO8859-7 /dev/msdosfs/FOO /mnt BTW, this should probably be in -questions not -hackers.
