Serge, the error is about to tell you the port is forbidden. Try setting
WITHOUT_PLUGIN=yes. Or, at your own risk, install the plugin anyway with
NO_IGNORE=yes.

make -V IGNORE shows
"===>  jdk-1.3.1p9_4 "is forbidden: Vulnerabilities in the browser plugin"."
Which doesn't play nice with ECHO_MSG being set to /usr/bin/printf later
in the makefile.

Maybe you could use this instead:
ECHO_MSG=	builtin echo -e
which is capable of handling the C style escape characters.
