I am so happy to hear someone will be dedicated to this (I hope the results are as good as the changes to the web site). May I suggest that the first thing this person revises/writes are the sections on how to contribute to the doc project. I once had the time and interest on helping on documentation, but simply could not figure out how to do it. I think it could be broken down on: -How to help with the handbook. -How to help with the man pages. -How to submit tutorials. Now that I have a bit more knowledge I lack the time, and still don't know how to contribute to the doc project. In particular it should be easy to find the location of the existing documents, how changes should be submited (including an example on using diff) and to who they should be submited. A template SGML file would also be very helpful (if SGML is still been used) By spending some of the initial efforts on this, would have a great long term benefits for the documentation since it will make it easier for people to help.
