First, one should disregard any "5 year old" problem reports if not verified
recently because FreeBSD ipsec code got major rewrite and improvement since
11.1-RELEASE.

Next, FreeBSD has several NAT implementations. The problem may be pf-specif=
ic
but not specific to natd/ipfw nat.

You need to use tcpdump and carefully inspect filtering rules to see what's
happening.
