I have a Oncore GPS Reference Clock on sio1 and a Belkin UPS on sio0. I seem to be getting tty-level buffer overflows from the sio1 port. I am running ntpd from the FreeBSD release. The ntp reference clock is polled every 16 seconds. The ups connection to sio0 is also a polled operation every 5 seconds. This setup has been running fine on my Athlon 1GHz server for the past few years. I became the owner of a few AS255's and decided to put one of them to use as my ntp server. My Athlon is also running 4.10 and the same version of all of the base system as the AS255. It's dmesg lists a 16550A serial controller, the same as the AlphaStation. I looked through the FreeBSD mailing list archives for any reference to problems with the AlphaStation serial ports running under FreeBSD, but came up short.
