I am wanting to run MySQL Server 3 and MySQL Server 4 at the same time; each from the ports collection. Can I just point each one to their own data files and on a different port and have a go at this? I am wondering specifically about the additional binaries that get installed such as mysqadmin for one. What happens with those? Are they distinct between the two versions or will one version's overwrite anothers? Thanks.
