Personally (having read the upstream pa= ge on the 0.7.0 alpha, I'd opt for: PORTVERSION=3D 0.7.0.a<build> or DISTVERSION=3D0.7.0alpha<build> As these are closer to the upstream designation of 'alpha', rather than R<b= uild to denote a revision.
