I'm getting, interrupt storm detected on "irq10:"; throttling interrupt source interrupt storm detected on "irq10:"; throttling interrupt source interrupt storm detected on "irq10:"; throttling interrupt source Slowly filling up my console. I've seen previous threads about this from Googling, but no resolution or discussion of whether it is performance impacting or just an annoyance. So, is there a resolution? If not, is it going to impact performance or is it just an annoyance? I'm getting these on a Soekris net5501. IRQ 10 is owned by a ath(4) NIC, ath0: <Atheros 5212> mem 0xa0010000-0xa001ffff irq 10 at device 14.0 on pci0 ath0: [ITHREAD] ath0: using obsoleted if_watchdog interface ath0: Ethernet address: 00:1d:6a:36:49:ca ath0: mac 7.9 phy 4.5 radio 5.6 The OS is, uname -a FreeBSD net5501.pumpky.net 7.0-STABLE FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #3: Tue Jun 24 12:48:46 PDT 2008 cjc@net5501-dev:/home/cjc/obj/usr/src/sys/NET5501 i386 Here's the dmesg.boot (note the message about glxsb0 using IRQ 10 is bogus; I get the interrupt storm messages when that device is not built into the kernel), Copyright (c) 1992-2008 The FreeBSD Project.
