X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 17 Jan 2008 06:21:30 -0000 hail hail, I was reading the IPSec section of the handbook and the fact of never saying to start ipsec service: /etc/rc.d/ipsec start made me take two days to make something that would require two hours to run. I dont know for you guys if this inclusion is silly, but for me I really dont think it is. I just realized that after trying two days and after already given up and tried openvpn. just when I was about to comment all IPSec stuff I then realized and questioned myself, if there is an "_enable=YES" line, is there also a rc.d entry ? then a found and racoon worked for me. even when searching the web, using the error I got, nothing lead me to this. so, this is just a suggestion, just to try to contribute a bit to the handbook that helped me so much. thanks for your time matheus ps: I'm not in the list, so anything if is intended for me to hear plz cc ;) -- We will call you cygnus, The God of balance you shall be
