Glad to be of help. I think you mis-understood about the user name
though. As you will see, my user name is ``markov'' but I don't
have a user on this system called ``markov'', I log in as ``marko''.

I see you are using ELM. I'm not familiar with that, I use mutt,
but can you not specify a ``From:'' line of your choice. In mutt
you can add a line like this to ~/.muttrc:

my_hdr From: Mark Ovens <markov@globalnet.co.uk>

Since I modified sendmail.cf as per the webpage I pointed you to,
sendmail leaves the ``From:'' line alone.

If you can't specify a ``From:'' line (or can't edit it before
sending) try sending a test mail whilst off-line, and the edit the
``From:'' line in the file(s) in /var/spool/mqueue.

I'm sure you can do this without re-writing the rules in sendmail.cf
(I tried, and failed - and that was with a copy of Sendmail by
Costales(sp?) in front of me!).
