Reply-To: Bill Sender: owner-bugs@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk The following reply was made to PR misc/1515; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Bill To: "Jordan K. Hubbard" Cc: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@freebsd.org Subject: Re: misc/1515: Unable to install 2.1.5 from CD-ROM. Date: Mon, 19 Aug 1996 23:23:37 -0700 (PDT) Well, I am not sure about that either. In 2.1, although the original full installation worked flawlessly, when I would go back to install additional components (via /stand/sysinstall), sometimes I would get the same "no CD-ROM devices found" message, eventhough I was always able to mount /cdrom every time without a hitch. Seems as if there's some kind of bug in /stand/sysinstall that, at least in 2.1, used to show up here and there, but never in the initial full install, and which seems to be showing up in the full installation under 2.1.5. So, am I basically out of luck? (although another word comes to mind). Thanks. - Bill. On Mon, 19 Aug 1996, Jordan K.
