I could imagine this happening if the kernel and the loader got out of sync. The alignment of the MODINFO_* tags was changed from int32_t alignment to int64_t alignment for the benefit of the alpha. vm_offset_t is 64 bit there and can't be accessed on non-natural boundaries. There are a couple of other problems that i've found. Some long-standing bugs in the kern_linker.c code and the link_*.c modules turned up.
