FreeBSD freebsd 6.2-RC1 FreeBSD 6.2-RC1 #0: Thu Nov 16 05:12:08 UTC 2006     root@opus.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SMP  i386
>Description:
In KDE Control Center, Internet & Network -> Samba:
The SAMBA configuration file 'smb.conf' could not be found;

make sure you have SAMBA installed.

Clicking on Specify Location and entering /usr/local/etc/smb.conf allows you to temporarily access SAMBA settings but the location doesn't seem to be used next time you try to access Samba settings after starting KDE Control Center again.
>How-To-Repeat:
Start KDE Control Center (kcontrol), expand Internet & Network, click Samba.
>Fix:
A temporary fix:
ln -s /usr/local/etc/smb.conf /etc/smb.conf

Though it would be better to actually get it fixed properly.
