Note that, if your drive was partitioned with extended translation either enabled or disabled, the controller will allow the partition information to override the default setting in the Ctrl-A pages. If you want to change this, you need to low level format the drive, or at least zero out the partition table in the master boot record. I know there are problems in 2.0.30 that may affect this, but your problem seems to be something slightly different. -- Mike
