Ok,
=09I reviewed rc.conf and the appropriate flag was inded set. However, I =
removed=20
all other delta references to sendmail. The behavior still exits. The=20
specific error message is the classic:

=09Unable to qualify my own domain name (jerusalem)...

This continues for awhile until sendmail finally decides ot use the short=
 name=20
and then boots.=20

I really don't get it. Are there any other network daemons that require t=
he=20
use of sendmail to operate properly?=20
