This is on 6.1 on an old P200 system. ed1 is the second nic, ep0 is the first; ep0 is always recognized. Rebooting usually solves the problem. I'm also puzzled as to why it's ed1 and not ed0. As nearly as I can tell it's on its own irq (5).
