I suggested this [embedded bomb code] to a senior editor of a major trade, and he said "make a nice Hollywood movie". I wouldn't be surprised if Gates has embedded license-check code in the software. It may not freeze things up, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few DLLs might disappear or stop working, just minor little niggling things...
