Yes, that was quite > broken. To be more accurate, it had 960612-SNAP userland and a -current-to-the-minute kernel, with everything static. Either the problem is sufficiently masked by only having 8M, or my problem was indeed the RAM, because with 8M it got ~2hrs into a -world before I had to leave, where with the previous memory config (16M) it wouldn't last more than 20-30 minutes.
