The problem is still here and I can't get 5.2-rc work properly. I tried one more card but it did not help. Disabling acpi ends in a system freeze. boot -v says it tries to set hostname and I have to use the powerswitch to shut it down. Does anybody could tell me how to handle this, which information is needed? Old messages are below. vmstat -i doesn't show anything remarkable. In detail what I did: cvsup to RELENG_5_2 rebuild everything in the mentioned order, mergemaster etc. tried GENERIC and custom kernel switched slots (3,4,5, 4 should have it's own unshared irq) switched cards Realtek -> Via Rhine (I know they aren't good cards but I don't own any others which aren't in use) I tried to disable acpi from boot prompt (does it work when acpi is compiled into the kernel?)
