There is most likely someone else who knows it better than me but I have
dabbled in it a *little bit*.  It's likely I can't answer your questions
immediately but I need to learn this stuff anyway so if nobody else has
offered to help I can give it a try.

I do qualify for your license issues, I've downloaded a lot of Java
related stuff from SUN to install for use here in the Department.
