Only if you buy the cheap ones. 8) Actually, the best design I've seen so far uses a battery-backed SRAM for initial storage, and then does a sweep every 10 minutes updating changed pages into flash. When the power is off at the end of the sweep, the battery gets disconnected, and then on power-up the SRAM is repopulated.
